Kelco was responsible for the complete installation of the pier’s various attractions including Pier 6’s Dog Run, Volleyball Courts,and Pier 6 ‘s celebrated Playgrounds. Kelco self- performed all of the pier’s scope of work including all site work & general construction, playground installations, masonry & hardscape, plantings, soil installation, carpentry, site furnishings, irrigation, volleyball court installations , water feature installations and metals work. Kelco installed all of the programatic elements of the playground including The Waterlab, Sandbox Village, Slide Mountain, Marsh Garden, and Swing Valley. Opened in 2010, these cool, hideaway play spaces have become a legendary day trip destination for parents across all of NYC.
